Choosing the Right Garden Storage
The right storage solution depends on what you need to keep organised, how often you need access and the space available in your garden. From ventilated log stores to compact tool units and secure metal storage boxes, considering the size, materials and opening arrangements will help you choose a practical solution that works for everyday use.
Storage Capacity
Consider what you need to store, from logs and garden tools to cushions and equipment, allowing enough usable space.
Materials & Ventilation
Compare natural timber and metal construction, remembering that firewood benefits from good airflow.
Doors & Accessibility
Choose from hinged doors, lift-up lids and roller shutters, considering how easily you can reach stored items.
Positioning & Dimensions
Measure the available space, including access, door clearance, roof projection and any required foundation.
Positioning & Installation
Getting the position and installation right is just as important as choosing the storage unit itself. Whether you're planning a timber log store, compact tool shed or metal garden storage box, it's worth considering the available space, access requirements and suitable foundations. Our team can help you understand the practical details before your new storage solution arrives.
Choose the Right Position
Allow room for opening doors, lifting lids and loading logs, as well as access around the unit. Consider airflow for firewood, roof overhangs and nearby boundaries.
Prepare the Base
Storage units need a suitable foundation and, where required, secure anchoring. Check the manufacturer's requirements and confirm the dimensions before arranging any groundwork.
Delivery & Installation
Installation is included in listed timber-building prices, with base preparation separate unless agreed. Metal storage installation is quoted individually for the chosen product.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a log store the same as a garden shed?
No. The Log Store uses slatted construction to allow airflow around firewood. An enclosed shed or tool store serves a different purpose, so choose the design around what you need to store.
Do you have storage for a narrow side passage?
The Storage Solution is a slim timber building with access from both ends. Suitability depends on the width, height and access available in your passage, including room to operate the doors.
Can I combine leisure space and storage?
Yes. If you need more than a separate storage unit, compare combination buildings such as the Bromley Combi summerhouse and shed, or the combination models in the Garden Rooms range.
Can I order a made-to-measure log store?
The supplied Log Store range includes bespoke made-to-measure options. Tell us the space available and how much wood you want to accommodate so we can discuss a suitable size.
Which compact stores have double doors?
The Tool Tidy and Handy Store have front double doors. Compare the opening and internal layout against the items you plan to keep inside.
Where should I put a log store?
Choose a suitable, accessible position that allows air to circulate around the slatted store and lets you reach the wood easily. Confirm the base, full dimensions and roof projection before installation. Avoid treating a ventilated log store as a fully enclosed, weatherproof shed.
Do you offer metal garden boxes as well as timber stores?
Yes. Ask us about Biohort and Hörmann storage options, including roller-shutter stores, gas-assisted boxes and metal firewood racks. Opening arrangements and accessories differ, so we will confirm the model and installation requirements for what you want to store.
